quick game in whole question
As with all mmorpgs (even though this isnt exactly one) the first thing everone has is 1 million questions, i have a question about the whole game in general that has been unasnwered.
My vision of the game is you can create a fast pvp character with preset templates or go and make your own doing quests and such. So my question is, if you make a role playing character, is the main point to build him up to do PVP (if thats what you want to do) and is a role playing character better because you can get better equiptment throughout the game.? And secondly how do i pvp, i havent run into that yet. |

There are several "points" to making a PvE character.
First, you have to realize that PvE and PvP are two different facets of Guild Wars -- almost like two different games. There are places where the two games overlap, but for most intents and purposes there are two different games. If you are mostly interested in PvP, you make a PvE character to unlock skills and upgrades. You can use your PvE character in PvP later, but with unlocking skills and upgrades, you can make a new PvP-only character using what you have unlocked. PvE is the longer portion of the game, and (in my opinion) the part that is the most intriguing. PvP for me is just something to do when you need to blow off steam. Right now my guild is not nearly big enough to compete, so we don't participate in GvG stuff. Maybe when we get more members, I'll get into the PvP scene, though. |
